The Atlanta native is a member of the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame and National Black Radio Hall of Fame, and was voted in as one of America’s Top 20 radio personalities in 1998 by The Source Magazine. He has worked in the radio industry for more than 30 years and currently hosts the afternoon show on Majic, a nationally syndicated station owned by Urban One Inc.’s Reach Media.

Cameron’s career isn’t the only thing that has changed for him this year: He’s also adjusting to being single after 18 years of marriage. Cameron and his wife Kysha Ferguson separated earlier this year, and he says it’s a blessing that he’s starting a new chapter in his life.

He’s also been busy with the Ryan Cameron Foundation, which has helped thousands of young people through programs like health screenings, leadership training, youth empowerment and community engagement for healthy lifestyles and anti-violence. The nonprofit has even produced a Gates Millennium Scholar. And Cameron’s new job is another way he’s giving back to the city that made him. He’s the first African American P.A. announcer to work for the Hawks and his signature “for3ee” call can be heard in video games worldwide.
